Live Sunday Services suspended and continue Online only

Until further notice, ‘live’ Sunday services are suspended and continue online only.

The Rector has consulted with the Churchwardens and members of the Parochial Church Council and has decided, reluctantly, that our churches must close again until at least up to and including 14th February. So our services will continue online each Sunday at 11.00am. We hope that everyone who can will join us. Up to 100 people can attend, so there really isn’t a problem of accommodation! You can click on the link printed below using your computer, tablet or smartphone. If you do not have access to the internet, you can join by phone using the number given below, and the numbers following when prompted.Don’t forget the hashes ##! There are actually advantages to joining the online service. You don’t have to leave the comfort and warmth of your own home and you can see people without masks and have a chat after the service, with or without a cup of coffee, if you wish! More importantly, although online worship cannot ever replace live in-church services, this is a way of worshipping together and, as you know, the Christian faith is one which thrives on community, even a virtual one.

Our service this Sunday, January 10th, is online at 11.00am. Rev Roy Allen will be leading the service, with Rev Canon Frank Longbottom preaching and the Rector leading the intercessions.

Please join us via the link below. We would love to see you.

We are pleased to welcome Rev Dr Noel Phillips as Rector of the Parish of Curdworth, Middleton and Wishaw.

Monday, 20th July saw the Collation of Rev Dr Noel Phillips as Rector of the
Parish of Curdworth, Middleton and Wishaw via zoom.

The service included an address from the Bishop, the Right Reverend David Urquhart. Noel was presented to the Bishop by the Area Dean, Rev Ann Richardson, and Noel stated that he was ready and willing to accept the responsibility of serving as the Rector of Curdworth, Middleton and Wishaw, with ‘both its duties and its joys’! Then followed the Declaration and
Oaths where Noel was asked to declare his allegiance to the faith and to the
Queen and obedience to the Bishop. The Bishop read Noel’s licence, which
gives him the responsibility for the ‘cure of souls’ of this parish, and blessed
him and his ministry in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Despite being a ‘remote’ service, those who were present were able to
participate and witnessed a very special and important moment for all of us,
but especially for Noel and his family. We welcome Noel, Jenny, Ellie and Thomas to the Parish and look forward to when they are able to move into the Rectory and be actually here, not just
remotely! We hope they will be very happy.

Sunday, 26th July, will be Noel’s first Sunday as Rector of the Parish of Curdworth, Middleton and Wishaw and he will be conducting a service at 10.30am from his present home in Coventry via zoom. Many of you are familiar with zoom by now, but in case you are not, we will publish some guidelines and the details needed to join on the service.
